After 20+ years of grooming experience, I've seen a thing or two! Curly or wavy coats do require maintenance at home, especially if they are not shaved short. Here are some of my recommendations:

You don't have to go crazy! Our Foundation Set gives them the fresh start they need for a nourishing bath. Don't forget the leave in conditioner! It's a few sprays after the bath and makes a huge difference for their skin and coat health. This helps keep them fresher for longer, smell less, and feel better.

If they start to smell but aren't ready for a full bath yet, a few poofs of our Grooming Powder will do the trick to remove the odor, without any water. It takes seconds and lasts for days by resetting the skin barrier.

With these coats, mats are not an if but when and so many people struggle with them. Groomers tend to shave dogs down to save the stress, which is the kindest thing to do. I've invented a new way to tackle them, though. Just puff Grooming Powder into the mat and slowly comb through. You'll see as the mat melts away in seconds. No pain, all gain.

Paw care is important if you live in a climate that gets hot or cold. Those pads need protection! I'd recommend using Paw Balm daily if you can (don't worry, it's lightweight and doesn't leave their paws greasy). Cleaning their paws after the beach, park, or a long walk through the town or city is a great way to keep your house clean and their paws fresh.
